Natural natural stone. Mining is carried out in the quarries of the Rostov region due to the breakaway from the edge of the deposits.
Externally, sandstone represents slabs with chipped edges. A layer of flagstone from 15 mm to 150 mm. Thin sandstone 15-20 mm thick is used for facing. Thick sandstone of 30, 40, 50 mm is used for paving. And a thickness of 60 mm or more for laying retaining walls.
Sandstone is reliable and durable. The strength grade of the flagstone is M800 and it is easy to pick up in shape, and the processing of the edges is simplified.
Varnish treatment helps to protect the surface from clogging and damage. But we do not recommend doing this, nature created the stone as it is. Every day at the quarry, the stone is tested by the weather and without any treatments. After coating with varnish, after a few years the varnish begins to peel off and the color of the stone seems pale and the varnish looks like a husk.
There are a large number of color options. The most common color is Rostov gray-green sandstone. It is this stone that lies in quarries in sufficient quantity and therefore anyone can afford the cost of the stone. Unlike colored stone, it is a rare flagstone. It is hard to get it and therefore the cost price is doubled. But you will definitely surprise everyone if you purchase and use a natural colored stone with a pattern on your site.
Flagstone can be used in the arrangement:
- outdoor playgrounds, paths in the garden, paving of recreation areas;
- interior decoration of the house, facade cladding;
- design of alpine slides and stone flower beds, rockeries.
It is worth remembering that working with a stone requires professional skills. You need to know what thickness to use. We recommend choosing a dry mix for installation. Cement with sand (proportions 1 to 3). If you plan to use glue, then choose expensive brands taking into account climatic norms.
